Genesis Women's Shelter

Genesis Women's Shelter was created to give women in abusive situations a way out since 1985. Their missions is to provide safety, shelter and support for women who have experienced domestic violence, and to raise awareness regarding its cause, prevalence and impact. 

"The women of Alpha Chi Omega have made such a tremendous impact in the fight to end domestic violence,” said Jan Langbein, executive director, Genesis Women’s Shelter.  “Alpha Chi Couture not only raises significant funding, but also gives a voice to thousands of women and children who have been silent for too long. Genesis is honored to be a part of this incredible event where young women come together to help restore hope, renew spirits and rebuild lives.”

One Love

The One Love Foundation was created in 2010 to honor the memory of Yeardley Love, a UVA senior who was beaten to death by her ex-boyfriend just weeks before graduation. One Love works with young people across the country to raise awareness about the warning signs of abuse and activate communities to change the statistics around relationship violence. They help start conversations about healthy and unhealthy relationship behaviors by creating social consequences for abuse and empowering individuals to help themselves and their friends.

Alpha Chi Omega Foundation

Alpha Chi Omega is at the forefront of women’s fraternal organizations as we strive to position our members for success both today and in the future. The Foundation’s mission is to support the educational and philanthropic purposes of Alpha Chi Omega through effective fundraising and stewardship of financial resources. The Foundation assists Alpha Chi Couture in ensuring that funds raised do the most possible good for those in need nationwide. The Foundation underwrites success through opportunities designed to empower the Real. Strong. Women. of our fraternity.
